In Neopian Painters Alliance, the name of the rank changes depending on the current guild theme. However, this does NOT mean that your rank level changes. Whatever spot you earned will stay the same; only the name of that spot will change.

When you first start off in the guild, you are at Level One It is the default rank for all new people. If you get promoted, you will move up to Level Two, and if you get promoted again, you move to Level Three, and so on.
The top rank is reserved for COUNCIL MEMBERS ONLY!. This rank may also include guild accounts. Rank 5 is reserved for sub-council members. These two ranks are the ONLY ranks that will get admininstration powers in the guild. Again, some exceptions may be guild accounts.



Promotion is when you move up a rank. To get promoted, you generally need to show the follow things and/or donate:

Donate - For each 1000 nps you donate to npa_guild's shop, your rank goes up one!

Activeness - This means posting on the message boards, and letting others know that you exist. =D

Helpfulness - This means answering people's questions, helping others with faerie quests, informing others when the snowager is asleep, etc. Donations also qualify under this category. (Note that donations are NEVER mandatory!)

Participation - Do you participate in the guild activities? This shows great spirit. Of course, it doesn't hurt to participate.

In most cases, getting promoted to Level Two requires only posting messages. Of course, the messages must be helping and aren't SPAM (which can lead to DE-motion if found). Most members find themselves promoted once they reach about 30 + messages.
